The Buddhist concept of right speech
“And what is right speech? Abstaining from lying, from divisive speech, from abusive speech, and from idle chatter: This is called right speech.”

Right Speech is a mindfulness practice. When undertaking this practice, we commit to greater awareness of our body, mind, and emotions and how those blend into the words we speak to others. As lightworkers we tend to be somewhat mindful of or more deliberate in our speech to others but I tend to not apply the same level of care to myself. But right speech is not just to others but right speech to ourselves and right speech to our bodies all the way down to the cells of our body.
Cells listen to the commands we give them and if we constantly tell them we are sick, broken, fail, tired, etc they obey in a similar way that our subconscious does when we say negative things about ourselves.
In the Useful Things To Be Saying To Your Cells, Ian Brown points out that – ““Cells are hoarders of emotions, of thoughts, and of previous experiences and nothing is given up unless you tell them to let go.”
Therese Wade, MSc in Your Cells Are Listening: How Talking to Your Body Can Help You Heal, gives these additional tips:
Approach your body with genuine compassion, understanding that it is made up of conscious cells who experience emotions.
Build trust by engaging your body in positive mental conversations about your desire for the two of you to cooperate and overcome the ailment.
Allow changes in the conversation by using different thoughts and words that elicit spontaneous elevated emotions.
and CG says here “Continue to treat yourself and talk to yourself (all the way down to your cells) with love and kindness.” :-)
