What is Reiki

We are alive because life force (chi, ki, prana) is flowing through us. Life force flows within the physical body though pathways called chakras, meridians and nadis. It also flows around us in a field of energy called the aura. Life force nourishes the organs and cells of the body, supporting them in their vital functions. When this flow of life force is disrupted, it causes diminished function in one or more of the organs and tissues of the physical body.

Reiki comes from the Japanese words "rei" (universal) and "ki" (life energy). Reiki is a type of energy healing.

How does a Distance Reiki session work?

The Distance Reiki symbol joins the Reiki practitioner and the client together in a connection across space and time.

To receive a Distance Reiki healing you don’t have to do anything special, but it’s best to lie or sit down in a place where you wont be interrupted or distracted during the session. The recipient and healer agree on a time beforehand and the person receiving the session needs to sit or lie down for the specified amount of time (typically 45 minutes or so). The effects of distant healing are virtually no different than hands-on healing. Chris can send healing energy to a person anywhere in the world no matter how far away from the healer they are and has multiple testimonials to show this is the case. The energy transmissions in a remote session are just as strong as if they were delivered in person. Distance healing sessions are ideal for those who don’t live within a reasonable distance from a practitioner, people who don’t have the means to travel to and from a healer’s office, or if you are uncomfortable visiting the office in a post COVID-19 world.

Chris primarily uses the surrogate method for distance Reiki.

Process for client:

  1. Chris and the client agree on the specific session time.

  2. Chris will either 1. text you at the beginning of the session or 2. connect with you over a Zoom sessions and you can watch the session.

  3. Chris will provide suggested background music for the session.

  4. Chris will conduct the distance Reiki session

  5. Chris will either 1. text you at the conclusion of the session or 2. gently bring you back and let you know the session is complete.

  6. Chris will either 1. call and discuss the session with you or 2. discuss the session with you over Zoom




Process for Chris

  1. Chris will set up the Distance Reiki surrogate (teddy bear) along with any crystals for the session.

  2. Chris will use the Reiki distance symbol sequence by drawing the symbols with a finger in the air and the Reiki power symbol on each palm.

  3. Energetically make the connection to the client.

  4. Use the basic Reiki hand positions on the surrogate, carrying out a hands-on session but placing his hands on the surrogate instead of a person.

  5. Wrap up the session with grounding of himself and the surrogate.

  6. Talk with the client to see how the session went and relay any insights gleaned in the session energetically, psychically or via the client’s guides, Angels, or loved ones.
